Peter JohnBATESIt is with sadness to announce Peter passed away peacefully on 11th January 2026, at The Douglas Macmillan Hospice, aged 85 years.
Beloved husband to Maureen, treasured dad of Janet and his son-in-law Philip, precious grandad to Robert and Jonathon and their wives Nicola and Sarah-Jane.
A devoted great-grandad to Max, Freya and Alfie and an unforgettable brother to Alan. Peter, a determined, hardworking gentleman, a brother in law, an uncle and eternal friend. May he rest in eternal peace.
Peter's funeral service is to be held on Thursday 19th February 12noon at Carmountside Crematorium. Mourners are kindly asked to meet at the service.
Family flowers by request, however should you wish to donate in loving memory of Peter, proceeds will be collected at the service towards the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and will be gratefully received. Thank you.
